Know all men by these presents that I Trinidad Elisardo, of the above State and County, have on this day, and by this presents, make, appoint and constitute John R. Baylor of the County of Bexar and State of Texas my lawful agent and attorney in fact for me and in my name to receive from the Hon Comptroller of the State, any and all pension Bonds that may be due me for services rendered at the siege and capture of San Antonio in December of 1835 against Coz.
And I fully authorize him the said John R. Baylor, to act for me as he may deem right and proper. And I hereby endorse any and all his acts as fully as if done by me in person.

to me made well known, who in my presence acknowledged that he had signed the foregoing Instrument of Writing, and declared the same to be his act and deed for the purposes and considerations therein stated, and that he wished not to retract it.

Before me Geo. W. Caldwell a Notary Public in and for the above county personally appeared Trinidad Elisardo, of the afore said State and County to me well known, who being duly sworn deposes and says: that he was born at Monclora [Monclova?] Mexico, in the year of 1807 and is now sixty seven years of age; emigrated to Texas in 1815.
Affiant further more declares that he was a soldier during the revolution of Texas with Mexico, and served under the immediate command of Capt Philip Dimitt, and participated at the siege and capture of San Antonio in December of 1835 against General Coz.
He further more declares that he has never taken up arms against the Republic or State of Texas, nor has he ever left said Republic or State, since said year of 1835. He further more declares and says that for said services he believes himself entitled to a Pension under the recent law granting pensions to Soldiers who Contributed in Separating Texas from Mexico.

Before me Geo. W. Caldwell a Notary Public in and for the above County personally appeared Juan N. Seguin of the aforesaid State and County to me well known who being duly sworn deposes and says: that he was a Soldier during the revolution of Texas with Mexico, and participated in the Siege and Capture of San Antonio in December of 1835.
Affiant further more declares that he is well acquainted with Trinidad Elizardo, knows that he was a soldier of Capt Philip Dimitt’s Company, and knows also that the said Elizardo participated at the Siege and Capture of San Antonio in December of 1835. He further more states that the said Elizardo now present is the same identical individual who rendered said service at that time.
He further more states that said applicant Elizardo has never taken arms against the Republic or State of Texas, nor has he ever left said Republic or State. He further more states that he has no interest whatever in the Claim of said Elizardo, but believes him justly entitled to his pension under the recent act granting pensions to Soldiers who Contributed in Separating Texas from Mexico.

Caldwell a Notary Public in and for the above County personally appeared Pablo Salinas of the State and County aforesaid who being duly sworn deposes and says: that he was a soldier during the revolution of Texas with Mexico, and served under the immediate command of Capt Juan N. Seguin and participated at the Siege and Capture of San Antonio in December of 1835.
Affiant further more says that he is well acquainted with Trinidad Elizardo; knows that he was a soldier of Capt Dimitt’s Company, and knows also that the said Elizardo participated at the Siege and Capture of San Antonio in December of 1835.
He further more declares that the said Elizardo now present, is the same identical individual whom he knew at that time, and that said Elizardo has never taken up arms against the Republic or State of Texas nor has he ever left said Republic or State.
He further more says that he has no interest whatever in the claim of said Elizardo, but believes him justly entitled to his pension, under the recent act Granting pensions to Soldiers who Contributed in Separating Texas from Mexico.

In County Court, Bexar County, To November Term, A.D. 1878.
Your applicant, Trinidad Elizardo, a resident citizen of said County & State, respectfully represents unto Your Honor that he is the identical Trinidad Elizardo, who, in the year 1835 served as a Volunteer under the command of Col. Juan N. Seguin in the Company of Manuel Leal for the cause of Texas; that he has made proof of service and obtained a pension under the law of 1870; that he is now and has been ever since and previous to the first day of July, 1876, in indigent circumstances, and makes this application for the purpose of obtaining the benefits of the law granting pensions, approved July 28, 1876; that he hereby revokes and annuls all previous powers of attorney given by him, touching pensions, and substitutes and appoints J. G. Fisk his lawful attorney in fact, with power to do all acts necessary to be done in the premises or that applicant might do if personally present and acting. Wherefore he prays for the required notice and that upon due hearing of the same the proper certificate be extended to him, & as in duty bound, &c.
